THE BATTERY ATLANTA BARCRAWL

SCAD PROJECT

INSPIRATION

The goal of the Battery Barcrawl Experience was to create a digitally interactive bar crawl for the bars at the Battery Atlanta location. After purchasing a ticket on the microsite, users would be able to access a map that shows every stop on the crawl, and access special augmented reality filters and projection mapping experiences at each bar location.

AR FILTERS

When users start the Bar Crawl Experience, they will be able to access location specific face, sticker, and game filters using Augmented Reality technology. Users will be able to save filters once they enter the bars and have access up until their point of departure. Users will be able to share their experience using the filters on Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok. To create the mockup AR bowling filter, I used Spark AR. To create the mockup sticker filter, I used Adobe Aero.

PROJECTION MAPPING

While participating in the Battery Bar Crawl, users will be exposed to projection mapping sequences displayed on the buildings. This will fully immerse the user and create a strong brand experience by grabbing their attention and drawing them into the experience and the individual bars. To mockup this experience, I worked with Cinema 4D to model the 3D assets, and the Unreal Game Engine to configure the experience.

MICROSITE & NAVIGATION MAP

Finally, users will be able to navigate through the entire interactive experience using a microsite and mobile map. The microsite was created using Wix, with custom Javascript code intergations.
